This is one of the finest music practice and assessment software available today. This year, I am asking that everyone pay $40 for the practice software and microphone. We have been using this for the past 3 years, and have noticed an increase in the ability to perform music at higher levels.
Go to: http://www.makemusic.com/ and learn more about smartmusic. I have been signing up students at school and taking them through practice sessions so they will be able to receive instant feedback on their playing. SmartMusic will aide your child's progress in band on the homework and performance assessment portion of their grade.
Our Band Goal is to have everyone using smartmusic at home by October. This will be our primary way of practicing assigned pieces in band. There will also be tests assigned through the software that your child will be responsible for practicing, which Smartmusic will automatically grade.
Yes, your child will receive INSTANT FEEDBACK!!! This is an amazing learning tool. Send your $40 to Michelle Today! Checks can be made payable to: Brown School Band.
